Build Your Rig, Your Way
Everything you need to plan, build, and outfit your home on wheels — from first sketch to final coat of polyurethane.
From Empty Shell to Home on Wheels
A successful build follows a proven order of operations. Skip a step and you'll be tearing out paneling later — follow the sequence below and build with confidence.

1. Plan & Layout
Map your priorities — sleeping, cooking, storage, and work. Sketch a floor plan to scale and live with it before cutting anything.
2. Insulation & Subfloor
Insulate walls, ceiling, and floor to fight condensation and temperature swings. Lay a level subfloor as your foundation.
3. Electrical System
Size your battery bank, solar, and inverter to real loads. Fuse everything, use proper gauge wire, and plan runs before paneling.
4. Plumbing & Water
Decide between fresh/grey tanks or simple jugs. Route lines, mount a pump, and keep everything accessible for winterizing.
5. Cabinetry & Bed
Build lightweight framing for the bed platform, galley, and storage. Balance weight side to side and keep the center of gravity low.
6. Finish & Safety
Seal seams, add ventilation, and install smoke, CO, and propane detectors. Test every system before your first trip.
